Ongoing development and maintenance of e-commerce storefronts built on Magento and WordPress, covering everything from custom PHP functionality to performance fixes, plugin/module management, and site reliability.
The client's store had accumulated years of technical debt from prior developers, including outdated plugins, inconsistent code, and recurring downtime during high-traffic periods. Fixes had to be made without interrupting live sales.
The store's stability and performance improved significantly, with downtime issues resolved and the codebase brought into a more maintainable state — all while the store stayed live and operational for customers throughout the work.
This project was a reminder that not all engineering work is greenfield — sometimes the highest-value work is stabilizing what already exists without customers ever noticing the disruption.
